Nana Patekar meets Anna Hazare

Even as Bollywood continues to lend support to Anna Hazare’s movement against corruption, very few actors are actually stepping up to go all out and lend their support to him.

Amongst the few who have stepped up and turned up for his support at his protesting rallies have been actor Purab Kohli, music composer Vishal Dadlani, TV hosts Raghu-Ram. While Vishal sang songs like Yeh Desh Hain Veer Jawano Ka and Rang De Basanti, the crowds were seen shouting slogans like ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Inquilab  Zindabad’ all over. A few of them were also seen wearing a black ribbon, just like the loads of protesters.

Amidst all this, actor Nana Patekar who also wanted to lend support to Anna Hazare and his movement, landed up at Tihar Jail to meet him yesterday. Reportedly, the actor has been wanting to meet Anna since a very long time now and he finally he did meet him yesterday. According to a source Nana entered Tihar Jail from Gate no 4 to meet Anna. Nobody knows how long Nana stayed and if they could have a conversation in front of the authorities but he was there in the jail for an hour.

This is not the first time that the actor has lent his support to Anna Hazare and his movement against corruption. At Jantar Mantar in April, Nana had back then also supported the movement,  encouraging a lot of Bollywood celebrities to join in and make a difference.
