Not too long ago, both of them were not even on talking terms and they refused to speak about each other. But the tables have turned now and Amisha Patel is openly voicing her support for her brother Ashmit who is slogging it on a reality TV show.

Amisha has also lashed out at actor Dolly Bindra, who’s locked in the house with her brother, for giving him a tough time. “I think he has handled everybody (inside the Bigg Boss house) in a much matured way. There are nasty people who always try to create controversies but my brother (Ashmit) has really done a good job in there,” Amisha said at a recent event.

Amisha also said that she regularly follows the show and is quite aware of the fact that her brother has managed to catch the glad eye of controversial Pakistani actor Veena Malik.

“I am following the show regularly. I think my brother is quite an eye-candy in the house and there are so many people showering compliments on him all the time. I feel good as a sister. There are girls flirting with him and he has handled all that pretty well,” she added.

Amisha and Ashmit had shared a rough relationship when relations started souring between her brother and parents after 1999 when she met film-maker Vikram Bhatt on the set of their first movie together, Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage (2002). In July 2004, she sent a legal notice to her father for mismanaging her accounts and assets. She patched up with Ashmit and her family five years later in 2009 when she was going steady with Kanav Puri. Amisha has now broken off with Kanav according to her Twitter updates.
