Mugdha Godse is off to Ashtavinayak

The going’s been good so far for actress Mugdha Godse, barring the dismissal performance of her recent horror flick Help at the box-office. But that is definitely not dampening Mugdha’s festive spirit and the actor who’s just back from a long schedule abroad is gearing up for the double celebrations back home, what with Ganesh Chaturthi around the corner and also her cousin sister’s wedding.

“I just got back here and am scooting off to Pune now for my cousin’s wedding. I am so excited about it,” she says. Talking films, we ask Mugdha if she was disappointed that even her bikinilicious hot-bod couldn’t save Help from tanking and she shoots, “No, as actors, we put in our best. Whether the film clicks or not is a different thing, as later on there are many other things that come into play like marketing and publicity. I am just glad that the audience appreciated our performances.”

Also next on her itinerary is the darshan of Ashtavinayak. “I do make that trip every year, but I couldn’t make it last year. So, this time I am all the more determined to visit the temples,” she adds. So what’s on her wish-list this year? “More interesting work, for sure,” Mugdha laughs. On a serious note she adds, “I have so much more to thank Bappa, than to ask for actually. I just hope for a peaceful and happy year ahead for everyone.”

With her kitty filling up with some interesting films like Will U Marry Me?, Mugdha feels that she’s blessed indeed. “For a simple girl with no background in films to have come so far, I think it’s only destiny and luck that’s done the trick. Sure, I have worked hard and am ready to work harder, but I am grateful for having gotten a chance to work with some good directors,” she adds.

Considering there’s a wedding in the family, is she looking out for Prince Charming for herself? “No ya, you can’t look out for your Prince Charming. I believe in love, but you can’t hunt for it. It just has to happen. And if it does, it just will.”
