Much ado about nothing

Producer Rajan Shahi who landed up in trouble a few weeks ago when a dialogue by the character Alekh about Valmiki offended the Valmiki Samaj, was again worried when he got the news that a group of women landed up on the sets of his show Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai. Needless to say, he rushed to Rajvansh House of Classic Studio at Mira Road immediately.

However, it wasn’t as scary as he presumed but turned out to be a pleasant incident instead. A group of about 30 women gathered on the sets of Bidaai with placards requesting to meet the producer and director of the show to share their displeasure over the current track highlighting a rift between the loving sisters Sadhana and Ragini.

Says a unit member, “Initially when the unit was informed regarding the same they got petrified but when the actors and the producer Rajan came and met the group of women and heard their concern, they understood that they were just devout followers of the show. Later, Rajan along with Parul Chauhan and Sara Khan (who play the sisters role) spoke and pacified them by sharing their perspective on the ongoing track.”

Elaborating on the gesture, Sara and Parul share their thoughts, “Initially we were scared when we heard that many women had gathered on the sets but when we interacted with them we made them understand that it was an integral part of the storyline and that we would soon reunite. We were touched by this gesture of our fans.”

Producer Rajan Shahi says, “When I was told about it, I just ran to the sets canceling all my meetings. I was really worried but things didn’t turn out the way I anticipated. Whatever said and done, it just shows how much they love our show and am overwhelmed by the response of the viewers. A wave like this only reiterates the love and support of the audience.”
