Movies are my passion: Aanaahad

Actor Aanaahad reveals the spiritual side of his persona and how he looks for the spiritual element in a movie.

“I am greatly inspired by the Bhagwad Gita,” he says unassumingly.

According to him, his two favorite Hollywood flicks Matrix and Peaceful Warrior, are an adaptation of the Bhagwad Gita. “Each time I watch them, I’m inspired to live my life better,” he says. “I can identify with these movies since I recall my mom reading out the Gita to me.”

He laments that no Bollywood film has tried to encapsulate the essence of the Gita yet.

 He says, “Every film is like a chapter of a book. You like few things but learn a lot.” Deewar and Agnipath are the two Bollywood flicks which he feels best surface Big B’s talent. Vijay of Agnipath and Neo from Matrix are the two characters he’d love to play. “Keanu Reeves has played the character with great elan and conviction,” he says.

Aanaahad enjoys watching movies with his friends but there are times when he prefers solitude. “Movies are not only my interest and passion but also my bread and butter,” he adds playfully.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a movie that he can relish watching time and again.

 The actor feels that not every movie with a big star cast is necessarily brilliant. “I recently watched the new Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz starrer which was nothing beyond a one-time watch. On the contrary, there are films with relatively small cast that can leave an impact on you,” he says.
