Mira Sorvino talks about her film career

Mira Sorvino has said that she is much happier not caring about how big or small an actor she is. The 42-year-old actress, who won an Oscar for her role in Woody Allen's Mighty Aphrodite, will soon be seen in Multiple Sarcasms.

The mother of three lives in New York and claims that being a mom has not really affected her career.

"It has revolutionised my life because I love my children so much," the New York Daily News quoted her as saying.

"I'm a much happier person now that I don't really care about how big or small an actor I am. I'm very judicious when it comes to how much time I'll spend working, because I don't want to deprive my kids of my company and I don't want to have someone else raise them. I was pregnant three times in five years, so that took me out of contention for a while over these past years. So the fact that I now have about five movies in the can, it's somewhat of a miracle," she added.
