Meet Ranbir Kapoor's latest arm candy - Angela Johnson

The gossip columns are rife with Ranbir Kapoor’s latest squeeze — model-turned-actor Angela Johnson and the duo’s love game.

However, tries to play down the buzz vehemently. “I would rather not comment on that. It’s a part of my personal life and I want to keep it that way!” she says. But there’s no denial to the report, whatsoever.

While the latest entrant to Bollywood plays down her link-up with the Kapoor boy, she is completely willing to talk about her film industry ambitions. “I am meeting directors and talking about the right kind of roles. Meanwhile, I have also signed up for classes in acting, diction and dance,” she informs. Johnson thinks, like most others, that acting is a natural transition after her modelling stint.

“It’s a step up and forward and a lot of people have done it or are waiting to do so. I love performing and cinema is a great platform for me to showcase my talent,” she offers. Johnson, who thinks that Bollywood dancing is a style in itself, is keen to learn the jhatkas so that she can easily fall into step.

“It is exciting, vibrant and exuberant,” she says, adding that she was a dance teacher, before she jumped into the modelling bandwagon. “I hadn’t planned on sticking to modelling. But then a friend suggested that I should try films and I thought why not? I went for it and since then, there has been no looking back. Life has changed for the better. I have modelled for some of the leading magazines and even walked the ramp for the Lakme Fashion Week,” says Johnson.

The industry, she feels is giving a chance to young talent in a big way now. “A lot of half Indians or people who have gone abroad, are now coming back to be a part of Indian cinema, which is a great thing,” she adds.
