Meet Bollywood's new rap artists- Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan

Thick buddies, both actors Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan will be seen rapping in their forthcoming films. While Hrithik will be rapping for an album that has been put together by choreographer Ganesh Hegde, Shah Rukh will be rapping for a track from his upcoming superhero film.

A friend close to Hrithik revealed that the star was not that keen initially to do the number because he thought that he would do a bad job of it, but Hegde persisted and convinced him that he could carry it off. “In the end, the rap number turned out to be a great one.

Hrithik did a great job. He did rehearse for it a bit, and when did go in front of the mike for the recording, he did a wonderful job. We all told him that he should be doing this more often,” says a friend of the star.

Hrithik confirmed that he’d recorded a rap number recently. “It was fun!” he sums up his first experience with rap genre. The actor has already garnered a lot of appreciation for his singing in the film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

Shah Rukh, on the other hand, had a meeting with musical duo Vishal-Shekhar about an upcoming track in his super-hero movie, the composers then asked him to rap a little number for them. And though Shah Rukh tried to wriggle out of it saying that singing is not his forte, but he gave in when Vishal-Shekhar convinced him to give it a try.

“He recorded the track as test and was satisfied with the results. He then asked Vishal-Shekhar whether it would look good when mixed with the track. Though the final song is still being worked out, those who’ve heard snatches fo the recording say that it has turned out to be a really good one,” says another source.
