Marathi film 'Natrang' to be re-released with English sub-titles

Atul Kulkarni starrer Marathi film 'Natrang' will be re-released with English sub-titles on January 22.

The film which brings back the Tamasha genre back in Marathi cinema is produced by Zee Talkies. It first hit the theatres on January 1 and the producers were overwhelmed with the critical acclaim and box office success.

Natarang with English subtitle print aims to engage and enlighten the non-Marathi viewers. In the fourth week of its release, the film will open with subtitle print in Fame Big Cinema Andheri, PVR Juhu and Globus Bandra, a Zee Talkies spokesperson said.

The film recently won the Sant Tukaram award for Best International Marathi film at the 8th Pune International Film Festival.

Directed by debutant Ravi Jadhav Natrang, set up in Maharashtra’s rustic hinterlands, tells the story of Guna Kagalkar, played by Atul and his passion, obsession, zeal and undying desire to set up a Tamasha theatre company.
