Mahesh Bhatt has mixed feelings over Shiney Ahuja verdict

Commenting on the 7 year jail term awarded to actor Shiney Ahuja in a rape case, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt today said that the worst fears of well wishers of the actor in Bollywood, have come true.

"Ever since the incident came to light, we were in dread and hope...dread that the allegations may be true," Bhatt told PTI.

He said that the court verdict be viewed in a larger context of natural and fair justice.

"Normally weaker and vulnerable sections do not get justice. But, in this case, justice has been delivered. Even though we lament that one of our own is in the dock, satisfaction is that larger values of the society have triumphed," the director said.
