Look who’ll romance actress Trisha next

After winning accolades for his performance in Avan Ivan, actor Vishal Krishna says that he’s raised a bar for himself when it comes to choosing scripts. The actor’s latest film, Vedi that released this weekend, is yet another movie that promises to show him in different light.

The film directed by Prabhu Deva has Vishal, Sameera Reddy and Vivekh in lead roles. With the film getting positive reviews, Vishal is one happy man.

“I wanted to work on some script that is comparitively light, post the release of Avan Ivan. That’s how Vedi happened, a remake of Telugu blockbuster Shouryam. It’s a family entertainer, but the story delves more into action. I’ve always loved working on action scripts, and this one was no less than fun. I am glad that people liked it” says an excited Vishal.

About his experience working with ace-choreographer and director Prabhu Deva, Vishal says, “Contrary to the reports that he’s a tough person to work with, I must say that he’s a fabulous director any actor would love to work. He has a certain knack on how to deal with his set of heroes and that’s what I like about him. Prabhu has also given me a complete makeover in this movie for which I am getting a fabulous response.”

With new reports claiming him to be directing soon, Vishal says that direction is not in his mind for the next few years. “I worked as an assistant director before taking up acting. I always used to keep in mind Vijay’s image when I I wrote my scripts. I mentioned that in an interview, and people are already talking about my directorial debut! Though I love to get into direction sometime, right now my priorities are being part of good movies. Bala (director of Avan Ivan) has given me a huge responsibility... and I am taking my scripts seriously right now. I am not game for doing any run-of-the-mill roles,” informs Vishal.

He’s currently excited about his next project Samaran which has Trisha Krishnan as the female lead. Says Vishal, “We are starting shoot from October 10. My character in the film is something new, and very exciting. I will be paired opposite Trisha for the first time, and am looking forward to work with her.” Meanwhile he’s also in talks with director Linguswamy for his next project.
