Kelly Clarkson furious over her image on Indonesian cigarette billboards

American singer Kelly Clarkson is furious over her image being juxtaposed on billboards with an Indonesian brand of cigarette.

The American Idol winner was livid when she saw her photo on the billboards of LA lights, which is sponsoring her Jakarta show.

LA Lights is a brand owned by Indonesia's third largest cigarette company Djarum, reports the New York Daily News.

A similar ad is also being broadcasted on TV.

Clarkson said she had no idea that a tobacco company is sponsoring her show until anti-smoking groups protested the ad.

"I was not made aware of this and am in no way an advocate or an ambassador for youth smoking," Clarkson mentioned in a blog titled 'Jakarta Mishap' on her WordPress site.

The Campaign named Tobacco-Free Kids insisted Clarkson to call off the show and demote youth smoking.

"If Kelly Clarkson goes ahead with the concert, she is by choice being a spokesperson for the tobacco industry and helping them to market to children," WHO president, Matt Myers said.

The Because of You hit maker Clarkson said that the only way to the only way to end the sponsorship was by cancelling the show. But the show will go on as planned since the singer does not want to disappoint her plans.
