Actress Kareena Kapoor may not be celebrating  Father’s Day with dad Randhir Kapoor today, but the actor reveals that she’s never needed a unique day to let him know how special he is to her anyway.

The actress is flying straight from Hyderabad, where she’s been completing dubbing for her film, to London to be with boyfriend Saif Ali Khan, but she will be making sure that she wishes dad Randhir today.

“More than celebrating a day, we celebrate any time that we spend together. But I think it’s nice to have a special day dedicated to dads,” says the star.

And is she planning on a surprise gift for Randhir? “Dad never takes gifts from either me or Lolo (sister Karisma) ever even on his birthday. Cards yes, but gifts no. In fact, it’s always dad who gifts us,” shared Kareena, who’s grown closer to Randhir over the past few years. In fact, she even attended co-actor Imran Khan’s wedding early this year with her dad.

The father-daughter duo are reportedly acting in a forthcoming Karan Johar film and Kareena reveals that she’s hoping to spend much more quality time together once she starts shooting with him.

Calling his return to acting as one of the best gifts that he could’ve ever given her, she adds, “I’d always wanted him to act again because I think he has a perfect comic-timing.”

The actor also feels that there’s lots she has imbibed from him. “Dad’s always smiling. I think I take my zest for life from him,” she signs off.
