Kareena Kapoor keen on doing item number in 'Dabangg 2': Arbaaz Khan

Actor-filmmaker Arbaaz Khan says Kareena Kapoor has shown keen interest in doing a song in his upcoming film, Dabangg 2.

With Dabangg 2 Arbaaz is making his debut as a director.

In Dabangg, Malaika Arora Khan gyrated to Munni Badnam Hui which became a superhit item number in recent times.

"We do have a song in Dabangg 2 but it is too premature to talk about it. We would like to call it a popular song rather than an item song. Once we have recorded the song then we can take a decision accordingly about it," Arbaaz told PTI.

"I am in conversation with Kareena about the song. She too is keen on doing it. We would be happy if she would do the song," he said.

"Principally we have agreed but nothing is on paper. We need to work out things like availability and all," he added.

Dabangg 2, a sequel  to 2010 action flick Dabangg, stars Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead. The shooting for Dabangg 2 is underway and it is expected to release by the end of the year.

"We have completed one schedule and will begin another tomorrow. We expect to release it by the end of the year," Arbaaz said.
