Kareena Kapoor and Salman Khan racing against time

The actors are working overtime to complete their film to make it in time for its release this month end.

Kareena Kapoor and Salman Khan racing against time

The shooting of actors Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s forthcoming film is still going on despite the fact that the film is to be released at the end of this month.

“The shooting schedule of the film has gone totally haywire. It’s mainly because Salman was busy with too many things. Now, the director, former actor Atul Agnihotri (Salman’s brother-in-law)  is racing against time to finish the movie. Everybody is lamenting that they are not getting time for post-production,” says a source.

As per the schedule, half a song and a couple of scenes are yet to be canned. The crew will now be proceeding to shoot another three days at a studio on the outskirts of the city.

“The crew shoots in the day and does the post-production work at night. There’s just no time for anything. It’s a ‘let it come, slap it in and we are ready to go’ situation now. The technicians are rueing the fact that they don’t have adequate time for the post-production of the film, but the reality is: there is no time for a proper post-production. Even the dubbing is happening simultaneously as the shooting and post production work,”says a unit member.

Usually dubbing and post production of a movie takes place after a movie is shot, In this case, everything is happening at the same time. The problem is: after the movie is shot, it takes at least a month for promotional rounds — for instance, the promotions of actor Shah Rukh Khan’s forthcoming film Ra.One have already taken off months in advance, but in Salman’s case, there’s almost no time for it.

“Salman and Kareena do not even have the time to talk about the movie. Most of the promotions that were lined up have been cancelled as the cast is still shooting. Kareena is being cooperative and has given all her dates to Atul because the movie needs to be completed,” the source adds.
