They were one of the best onscreen pairs of 2010. Actors Ajai Rao and Radhika Pandit were paired together in Krishnan Love Story, which was a runaway success. They’ll now be paired again, this time in a film, Breaking News, directed by Nagathihalli
Chandrashekhar and produced by Rockline Venkatesh.
The film will have the lead pair playing journalists and it will tackle the fierce competition that has crept into today’s media business.
“This is a subject I have been working on for a while. I have seen how the face of journalism has changed today. There’s so much of power play involved and has become quite a cut throat business,” says Nagathihalli, who was to launch this on his birthday this August.
The fact that the makers have got to bring the KLS pair together has become one of the biggest talking points in Sandalwood. The film will also have a good love story angle to ensure that the leading pair gets to rekindle the on-screen chemistry that had become a big hit with fans. Radhika, who’s looking forward to working in the film, says, “This film begins on September 17 and I’m excited. It is a love story that is set against a political backdrop. This will be my second film with both the director and the hero. I’ve loved the script of the film, which is what convinced me to sign up.”
Radhika has previously worked with Nagathihalli in Olave Jeevana Lekkachara, which won her a lot of critical acclaim as well as a few awards. The new film will have Krishna Kumar as the cinematographer while Stephen will compose the tunes for the soundtrack.
