Kangna Ranaut turns wedding planner

After actors Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra, it’s actress Kangna Ranaut who took a recent trip to the Ajmer Sharif dargah in Rajasthan. But according to sources, it wasn’t for any of her forthcoming films that the actor paid her obeisance at the dargah. Instead, Kangna was there to pray and ask a mannat for her sister Rangoli, who’s set to get married in the coming few days’ time.

Says a source, “Kangna and Rangoli are very close to each other. Now that Rangoli’s big day is drawing closer, Kangna wants to ensure that everything goes on smoothly as planned. She even visited the Ajmer Sharif to pray for her sister’s happy life ahead.”

Rangoli is set to tie the knot with Ajay Chandel, a Delhi-based businessman, in mid-May and it will be a private event. A close friend of the star confirms, “The shaadi is expected to be a hush-hush and a private affair back in her home-town in Himachal Pradesh, but Kangna’s making sure that everything is perfect. She’s playing the wedding planner for Rangoli, despite her hectic shoot schedules. Even in between her shots she is co-ordinating with designers and making small shopping trips for gifts,” said the friend. “I want it to be the best day of my sister’s life,” she is said to have told her friend. Among other things, the star sister is apparently also gifting her sis a honeymoon trip abroad.

“Right now, Kangna’s shooting back-to-back for three of her films and she’s trying to adjust her dates accordingly. In fact, she’s even working in double shifts so she can squeeze out as much time as possible later for the wedding,” the source added.
