Kangna Ranaut, the antagonist?

The mercury’s soaring in B-Town. This despite the cold vibes that actors Ajay Devgn and actress Kangna Ranaut are apparently sharing these days. According to recent buzz, Devgn is apparently miffed with his Rascals co-star. This comes as quite a surprise as it was reportedly on Devgn's insistence — who was extremely happy with her performance in Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai — that Ranaut bagged both Tez and Rascals in the first place.

According to sources, Ranaut was in the good books of both Devgn as well as actor Sanjay Dutt (who is also producing Rascals). The actress, apparently, would flaunt this association with them rather openly to a point that it upset both stars’ wives — Kajol and Manyata. A source said, “Kangna in her bindaas way would talk about how Dutt and Devgn would go out of the way to make her feel comfortable on the sets. She would even namesdrop them in the industry circles. Apparently, these over-friendly revelations did not go down too well with Kajol and Manyata, and the two have made their displeasure known to their hubbies.”
This, in turn, apparently upset the stars enough to be miffed with Ranaut. Another unit member said, “What made it worse was her starry attitude on the sets. But no one dared complain about her as she behaved like the blue-eyed girl of Devgn and Dutt.”
Now it seems that their professional association is costing the stars much more than they were prepared for. “The two actors were only trying to promote her as an actor, as they both believe that she is a great performer. However, Ranaut flaunting it has upset them as it sent out wrong signals,” added the source.

Another source close to Ranaut has a different story to tell. “There’s no trouble between them. And what is being considered namedropping was only when she was asked about how it was working with them. Besides, it’s unfair to say that she is bagging films because of anyone else. She’s made it so far on her own merit and without any  godfather. Why would she need one now?,” asked the source.
