The movie featured Bollywood's A-listers like Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Farida Jalal, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor. With Rani Mukerji as a cameo, the film was a smashing hit in 2001.

Shah Rukh, who played Amitabh Bachchan's son in the film, further tweeted, "10yrs of K3G... how time flies... shava shava."

Earler, Johar had expressed his desire to plan a sequel of the mega family drama.
