Jude Law, Keira Knightley to come to India?

Every few months, a Hollywood celebrity or an international singer coming to India to promote a film, a gig or shoot a film in India, is now becoming a regular feature. India is definitely on an international celeb radar, and adding to it is the new buzz around two Holly hotties — Keira Knightley and Jude Law.  Come November,  desis are apparently going to see these stars here, to promote their upcoming film.

Says a source, “Jude and Keira are slated to come in November to India to promote their upcoming film Anna Karenina, which releases on November 9. Though nothing has been officially announced, the producers are sorting out the details and the whole itinerary. India has become quite a big hub for all these Hollywood filmmakers and production houses. The latest being the high profile premiere of the Holly film The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel here in Mumbai. Even Freida Pinto’s film Trishna is also expected to have a lavish opening here next month, which it is rumoured will be attended by her boyfriend Dev Patel.”

The Keira-Jude starrer directed by Joe Wright has Indian actor Tannishtha Chatterjee playing a key character in it. Ask the award-winning actor about the Holly stars’ visit to India, and she says, “Yes, it’s too early to talk about it but the producers are figuring out the details, they would love to come to India. We would love to promote our film here and it’s releasing in November. Furthermore, Joe has an Indian connection. He is married to Anoushka Shankar. So, he would want to do something during November, and the whole cast members will be there in attendance.”

The film Anna Karenina is set in the late 19th-century in a Russian high-society. The aristocrat Anna Karenina enters into a life-changing affair with the affluent Count Vronsky. It has been inspired from the famous novel of the same name by author Leo Tolstoy.
