Johnny Depp is in talks to star in Serbian filmmaker Emir Kusturica's upcoming Spanish-language biopic about Mexican revolutionary Pancho Villa.
The movie, to be titled Seven Friends of Pancho Villa and the Woman With Six Fingers, will start filming in 2011.
Variety reports that Depp's Once Upon A Time In Mexico co-star Salma Hayek is also in negotiations to co-star in the movie.
Depp and Kusturica previously collaborated on the 1993 movie Arizona Dream.
Antonio Banderas, Telly Savalas and Leo Carrillo are among the stars who have played Pancho Villa in movies earlier.
