John Abraham-Shahid Kapur war intensifies

The box office war between actors Shahid Kapur and John Abraham is hotting up at the box office with both sides claiming that their film is one up against the other. Interestingly, actor Bipasha Basu had endorsed Shahid by repeatedly talking about him in her interviews and saying that she finds him very “interesting”.

Shahid is apparently very upset with claims that John’s movie has upstaged both in terms of opening collections and audience response. People’s close to Shahid have now released figures which says that Shahid’s Mausam had garnered a bigger collection than John movie.

“They are all talking about how John’s film is a bigger hit than Mausam but if you go into the collections then the weekend collections of the former is about Rs 15 crore. But the weekend collections of Mausam is about 23 crores. Hence this has come as shock for Shahid when he came to know that John’s release has been eating into the shows of Mausam. Shahid has decided not to tweet about this and let things take their own course,” says a source close to him.

In the mean time, with reports surfacing that Bipasha and Shahid might holiday together, the box office war has further intinseified as Genelia  D’souza had been tweeting about how successful her film has been and the subsequent reports that the film is eating into Shahid’s movie.“Shahid and Genelia had a talk and we have heard that Genelia had said that he would never try to hit out at Shahid and she was merely tweeting and re-tweeting about her own movie. But in reality, the collections of John and Genelia’s film has shown a strong decline from Monday and comparatively Shahid’s movie had garnered a better collection,” the source adds.

A source close to John however counters saying that they haven’t released the final figures of his film yet but they are better than Mausam’s Monday collections.
