John Abraham's ideal Sunday: Brunch, bikes and buddies!

It’s been quite a while since actor John Abraham’s had a Sunday to himself. His films have ensured that the action star hardly gets much time to enjoy the day and yes, though John admits that he loves his work, he reveals that he does miss his Sundays too! “My Sundays have always meant sports for me,” he says recalling his childhood days.

“I’d play football all week through, but had to balance out the sport with school, but Sundays was sports unlimited for me. My friends and I would start playing early on and not have enough of the sport even by evening,” shares the actor, who is still as passionate about the game as he was in his teen years. “Yes, I do love the game and try to play the sport as and when I can too,” he says.

But more than his passion for the sport, it’s his passion for bikes that keeps him busy on the Sundays he gets off for himself now. “I haven’t had a Sunday off for a long time now and have forgotten how it feels not to work on the day. I miss it,” he smiles.

On a serious note, he adds that his ideal Sunday would mean sleeping till noon, a heavy brunch in bed, then working on his bikes and bonding with his buddies. “Of course my day would be incomplete without a workout, but on a Sunday, it can be towards the latter half of the day to level out my indulgences of the earlier day,” he adds.

Bikes take up most of the time that he does manage to squeeze out on a working Sunday too, reveals John. “I like working on my bikes, right from washing them to modifying them, I do it all. I think for me workouts and bikes are the best de-stressers for sure. Then taking it out for a spin, catching up with friends is also something I enjoy.” And that includes babes too? “Of course, I have a lot of ‘girl’ friends, so yes I enjoy catching up with them every now and then too, but no I don’t have to wait for a Sunday to do that,” he smiles.
