According to media reports, the singer is very angry with the mag for running a cover story claiming she was the latest addition to the golfer's growing harem, reports The New York Daily News.
"Tiger liked what he saw and let her know it," a source allegedly told Star.
Simpson turned to Twitter to blast the supposed fabrication.
She posted: "Can't believe that I'm on the cover of star magazine with Tiger Woods, what a JOKE! 'The Shocking Inside Story' is (insert drumroll) A LIE!"
Star had reported that Simpson and Woods exchanged e-mail addresses and phone numbers after meeting at the AT&T National Pro-Am golf tournament in Bethesda, Md.
