Jacqueline Fernandes cheers for both India and Sri Lanka

Jacqueline Fernandes, former Miss Sri Lanka is a bundle of nerves today. The actor who is in Mumbai is super excited about the face-off between India and Sri Lanka. Jackie, born in Colombo to a Sinhalese family, migrated to Bahrain at the age of three and much later won the Miss Sri Lanka Universe title in the year 2006. After that she made her debut with Aladin, but not many know that besides Bollywood, the pretty actor is also passionate about cricket and sources close to her say she gets nervous before each Sri Lankan match.

It is a big day for Indian and Sri Lankan cricket enthusiasts and Jackie is no exception. The actor is extremely happy that both her favourite teams will clash at the finals today; however, she refuses to take sides. “Today I am a winner anyways. I love both, Sri Lankan and the Indian cricket team. Both teams have great cricketers so it would be a thrilling match.” The actor finds it difficult to pick one team because both countries have given her equal fame and love. She elaborates, “People from both the countries have given me lots of love so I am going to just enjoy the game. Both the teams have worked hard to reach the finals, which itself is a big deal so all I will say is may the best team win!”

Though currently shooting for her film in Mumbai, the actor is gloomy that she will not be able to watch the match live at the venue. A source close to her says, “Jackie has been shooting non-stop for quite sometime and it has been really stressful for her because she shoots till late in the night. She would have loved to watch the match at the venue and cheer both the teams, but her schedules don’t permit her to do that.”
