'Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai' to be shot at a live college fest

For the first time in Bollywood history, a film will be shot during a college festival. And the college students will act as ‘extras’ in the music video of the film.

Previously, a lot of Bollywood films were shot in the middle of a live audience, on the road-side or even a local fair, but director Milap Zaveri has decided to push the envelope further by shooting his film Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai in the campus of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) in Juhu. The idea seems to have struck Milap after 3 Idiots was shot in IIM Ahmedabad broke all box office records. However, it was not shot amidst a college festival or in the midst of its college students.

“The college fest Euphoria begins on March 4. The producer of the film Nikhil Advani and the director of the film Milap Zaveri have
secured special permission for the film’s shooting at the college. The college students are very excited about seeing the shooting of a film at their campus and more than eager to participate in the
shooting,” says a unit member of the film.

“In the film also it will be shown that Shaan is performing live at a college fest while Riteish, Jacqueline, Ruslaan, Vishal and Sonal play college students in the film. They will be dancing with the students of NMIMS on the remix version of the title track of the film. The video of the live performance will be used as the official music video of the film.

Producer Nikhil Advani and director Milap Zaveri are also planning to use the video for the end credits,” the source added.

“For the first time ever we have invited normal college students attending the college festival at nmims to be part of the exclusive music video of the remix of the title song Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai. It’s a rock remix and Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline
Fernandez, Ruslaan Mumtaz, Sonal Sehgal, Vishal
Malhotra, Sajid-Wajid and singer Shaan will dance and perform on stage which will be shot by us along with the actual cheering crowd of youngsters. This will be edited into the music video which will even feature in the end credits of the film.” says director Milap Zaveri.
The actors too are very
excited about taking part in the shoot. “I have never acted in front of a live audience and when I feel that I will be
acting with actual college
students, it makes me feel very excited. I am really looking forward to interact with the students of NMIMS because I am told that it is one of the best management institutes in the country. I hope that may be one day I would be able to study in a premier institute like this,” says Jacqueline Fernandez.
