I’ve seen a lot of Shah Rukh Khan’s films: Brett Lee

Australian cricketer Brett Lee  is set to perform in the city with his music band today, but this isn’t the first time he’s done it. The cricketer had collaborated with veteran singer Asha Bhosle on a song that went on to become a huge hit.

Lee elaborates, “I would love to explore more opportunities on my musical side. I really enjoyed meeting and working with Asha Bhosle.”

Talking about his music band, he insists that cricket is still and will always remain his first option.

“Music is my second love. I have my own band the White Shoe Theory with my great friend Mick Vawdon. We love performing, writing songs and also did a tour in April. I hope to tour again, late in the year. But right now I am concentrating on cricket as music is my hobby.”

Lee who has also tried his hand at acting is open to interesting offers.

“I have watched a lot of Shah Rukh Khan films. I love to watch action movies. I would love to work for Bollywood especially with a legend like Amitabh Bachchan.”

Ask him, who his favourite Bollywood celebrity is and he quips, “Priety Zinta is my favourite Indian actress and Shah Rukh is very energetic and witty. I like both of them”

The cricketer, who has a huge fan following including women and children alike, is quite an Indophile.

“It always feels great to be back in India — every visit of mine is equally great and warm. The Indians are warm and welcoming. I really admire the culture and tradition of India. I must say that I love India cuisine, especially butter chicken and beer!”
