It’s a nice feeling to see Shah Rukh at home: Gauri Khan

Perhaps the only one who’s not enamoured by Shah Rukh Khan is his wife, Gauri.

“Don’t ask me how it feels to be a superstar’s wife. It doesn’t feel anything different. I can’t keep on praising him all the time. That would be so boring,” says the woman who’s got all the attention of the charismatic Khan.

But what pleases wifey Khan the most is to see Shah Rukh working in his study.  “His (Shah Rukh’s) study is one of my favourite rooms. It feels good to see him moving around in that room, or just sitting there and working. It just feels nice to see him at home,” she says.

Gauri reveals that though she likes everything to be her way at home, she has alloted a private space for SRK (the study also serves as an office to meet important visitors). .

“That’s his space, and I don’t interfere there at all. He can do anything that his heart pleases there (Shah Rukh calls this room his kennel!),” she informs,

With an advertisement in her bonnet, are films the next step? “I don’t think so. I did the  ad because I felt like it. But Bollywood? I am too old for it. I would’ve considered Bollywood if I had been a little younger. At this age, it’s completely ruled out. Being in front of the camera is a lot of hard work, and I’m  cut-out for it. I was so tired doing the commercial that I slept for two days after that,” quips Gauri. 

As a parent, Gauri says that Shah Rukh is the one who always indulges his kids (son Aryan and daughter Suhana). “Oh! He  spoils them. I am the stricter of the two,” she says. Shah Rukh interjects saying that if he spoils the kids, Gauri spoils him as she’s been feeding him a lot of chicken curry and rice lately as he’s lost a lot of weight after wearing the Ra.One superhero suit.
