Imran Khan-Avantika Malik's wedding platter

Lucknowi Dum Biryani and kebabs dominate the non-vegetarian menu even as a traditional cook family from Lucknow has been flown down to prepare the dishes for the high-profile wedding recption of actor Imran Khan and Avantika Malik tomorrow.

“The cooks from Lucknow have been traditionally cooking for the family of Nasir Hussain and they have been entrusted with the job. They are traditional cooks and have been cooking for 200 years,” says a source.

Meanwhile, sources say that they are getting one of their apartments in Bandra ready for the couple to move into, after their wedding. “The house is being renovated now and it is being readied in record time. The work on the interiors is going on as we speak,” says another source.

Meanwhile, after the registry at the Bandra apartment, the couple will proceed towards a five-star hotel in Bandra for a treat. “The registry will take place at Imran’s home where mamu Aamir Khan, his wife Kiran Rao and a few close friends will be there. The wedding will be celebrated with a dinner at the hotel where the guests witnessing the wedding will be treated to a special Mughlai and Thai menu prepared by the chefs,” the source adds.

Thereafter follows the much publicised party at the Karjat farmhouse and then the couple goes away on their honeymoon. “The ceremonies for the marriage will kickstart on Saturday with the mehendi from 6 pm at Avantika's farmhouse in Karjat. A party follows thereafter,” the source ends.
