I’m not pregnant: Shilpa Shetty

Though she tried to ignore rumours of her being pregnant initially, actress Shilpa Shetty has finally decided to speak up after being flooded by congratulatory messages from her friends and colleagues. “It gets on your nerves especially when I have not made any such announcement,” says Shetty in a text message to DNA.

People close to Shetty say that it has been traumatic for her, and she tried to brush it off by explaining it personally to those who greeted her.  But when it went viral with fans speculating baby names on Twitter, she decided to go public.

“Forget about family, people who don’t even know her properly started sending text messages to Raj (Kundra, her husband), her sister (Shamita) and her dad. After a point Shilpa decided that enough is enough,” says a close friend of the actor revealing that it was ‘planted’ by a rival in the cricketing world. Admitting to being upset, Shilpa said, “When it comes to sensitive issues like this, I expect everybody to toe the line. It’s been very upsetting,” Shetty added.

However, the actress indicates that she is not averse to starting a family. “The day I am (pregnant), I will announce it for sure,” she says.
