I will rise like the phoenix: Ganesh

The Sandalwood film star has a lot pinned on his latest flick, Romeo that is going to soon be in the theatres.

I will rise like the phoenix: Ganesh

Golden Star Ganesh, who was going through a bad patch in his career, firmly believes that Romeo has all the elements that are required to entertain the mass as well as the class audience.
You may recall that Ganesh’s last few releases, Bombaat, Circus, Ullasa Uthsaaha, Kool…Sakkat Hot Magaaa, Madhuve Mane,  Eno Ontharaa, Shyloo and Munjaane crashed at the box office beyond redemption.

Ganesh, who has been desperate for a success since 2010, firmly believes that Romeo will help him regain his name and fame as a ‘Golden Star’. What makes him so positive about the film? “It’s the script,’’ pat comes the reply. Romeo is directed by PC Sekhar and Ganesh says he’s lucky to be working with him. “Romeo is a romantic comedy. In the film, the hero tells a string of lies to impress his heroine,’’ says Ganesh, adding that these lies are laced with humour and are only meant to tickle the audience’s funny bones.

Romeo went on floor last year and has has actress Bhavana as the lead heroine.  The film also stars Rangayana Raghu, Avinash, Sadhu Kokila and Sudha Belawadi. Talking about music and lyrics of the film, Ganesh says Arjun Janya’s music has the potential to reach the rock music lovers in Bangalore. Kaviraj and Nagendra Prasad have penned the lyrics.
