I love gifts, says birthday boy Neil Nitin Mukesh

Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh, who turns 30 today hopes to have a quiet birthday celebration this year. The actor, who had a release earlier this month, is more than happy with the compliments that have come his way. Today is yet another celebration for him as he turns 30. Talking about his birthday plans, he says, “As of now, I only have plans to celebrate it with my mom and dad. It is my 30th birthday and in a way it is special, so I would like all my close friends to come over and we may just go out for dinner or order in. Birthdays are increasingly becoming a family affair for me.”

Since 30 is considered to be an age when your life takes a turn, we ask if he had set any personal milestones for himself to accomplish. “Definitely. I had a couple of things which I had to achieve and I think I am pretty much there. I had decided that I would set myself on the work front and thank God for that. I am quite happy with the work that is coming my way. I am also in the process of readying my dream home, so that is underway as well.

The only thing missing is a partner, but she will come along too.”
Talking about love, who was that mystery girl he was spotted with in Delhi? “That was my sister”, he shoots back. “That was very upsetting. I am very much single.”

Elaborating more on his dream home, Neil says that he has always wanted to live with his parents and has recently got himself a new house in South Mumbai. “From Napean Sea Road I will now move into a house at Worli. I will always stay with my parents because it is our responsibility to take care of them in their old age. It is a huge nine bedroom, spacious apartment. All the paper work has been sorted out, but it will take another three or four years for us to move in there.”

Since it is his birthday, is he gifting himself anything? “I love gifts and especially during birthday, I will make sure that everyone gets me a gift. I keep buying things for myself so there is nothing special I am gifting myself. I am just hoping to get lots of blessings and good wishes.”
