I like Aishwarya Rai's in-your-face attitude: Preity Zinta

Preity Zinta is probably one of the few stars to have worked with all A-listers (Khans, Kapoors and Deols) in the industry, and yet not been a part of any camp.

Quiz her on how she has managed to steer from star camps, and she retorts, “I share a healthy working relationship with all my co-stars. There is longevity in all my friendships because I’ve never gotten involved with any of my male co-stars. They all respect me and treat me like an equal because we share that kind of camaraderie. Hrithik  (Roshan) is one of favourite co-stars, and a  close friend, and so is his wife, Suzanne.” 

But what not many know is that she has a wonderful friendship with actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The duo, it is believed, hit it off when they did a world tour in 2000.

“Ash is someone who I can call a friend. We have kept in touch, shared our ups and downs through the years. We’ve always been there for each other during the tough times. And I know that I can pick up the phone and call her up anytime,” gushes the actress.

 It is clear that Preity is very fond of Aishwarya.  “Ash is so confident and what I like best about her is her on-your-face attitude. I am not a hypocrite, and she appreciates that. We both are head-strong and have an opinion about things, but we aren’t double-faced.”

Preity is also said to be quite friendly with actor Katrina Kaif.  “I’ve known Katrina for quite sometime now. She’s a sweet girl, and we talk on and off, but we haven’t really hung out all that much.”

And where does actr Rani Mukerji, her one-time good friend fit in all this? “Rani and me are good friends, but she is not my best friend and neither am I hers. When we did films together, people wrote too much about our friendship and hyped it up. We are in touch,” she concludes.

Ness & I

“I expect people to let things be the way they are. So much has already been said about Ness (Wadia) and me. There really is no point bringing it up again and again because it is a personal thing. I am okay with people speculating, but I want my space. I’ll not talk about this henceforth.”
