I depend on Manyata a lot: Sanjay Dutt

Actor Sanjay Dutt recently completed two years of marriage with wife Manyata. He says, “I depend on Manyata a lot now. In fact, I depend on her for everything. It is she who pushed me to get back into shape again. I like coming home now and spending time as a family fan. Manyata is full of life and she brings a lot of energy into our house. What I love most about her is her truthfulness. Truth can sometimes hurt but that’s her greatest quality. She will speak the truth and give you the right perspective always.”

Things are also looking up for Sanjay who, after getting relief from the case probing the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts, has got a new lease of life as far as his endorsements are considered. He has bagged his biggest endorsement to date and is also doing around seven movies. Evidently happy, Sanjay says his brand equity had nosedived during the court cases and his subsequent jail term.

“I was always open to do endorsements but the companies weren’t coming to me. They shied away from me because of my court cases. Maybe I wasn’t a safe face as I was in news for the wrong reasons,” Sanjay says.

The actor, who is riding high in Bollywood with a few big films under his belt and a fitter and leaner body, adds, “But now that I have been cleared from terrorism charges, maybe the ad world feels I’m a good bet. The soft drink ad that I have done was definitely a big breakthrough. I hope many more doors open for me.”
