I come home to a lot of tantrums of my son Zorawar: Chitrangda Singh

Actress Chitrangda Singh may be receiving a lot of compliments for her role in her latest release but it is all equalled out when she comes home to her son, Zorawar, in Delhi. “Right now, I don’t have to put my (family) life on hold to pursue a career. Having a family also helps me disconnect at times and value life. Especially when you have a child, you tend to look at life from a completely different perspective. There are times when I come home to a lot of tantrums, from my son, and I have to manage all of that like any other normal person,” says Chitrangda about what keeps her level-headed and grounded, despite the limelight.

The actress, who shot to fame with her debut film, film-maker Sudhir Mishra’s Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, says that she is happy that people are finally recognising her for more than just her dhamaka debut. “Hazaaron... will always be special, but yes, I’m happy that people are not seeing me in just one perspective. I would always joke with Sudhir that since he was responsible for creating that image for me, he would have to be responsible for helping me break out of it as well,” says the actress.

We can’t resist but ask her how many hearts she has broken off the screen. “I don’t really know, but let’s just say that I’m aware of only a few,” she laughs. Does she get hit on very often? “Honestly, I don’t get hit on at all, and that’s the truth. Guys are cautious around me and no one is actually forthright. It’s only when someone starts gushing that I get the hint maybe,” she giggles.
