I am very greedy, says Sameera Reddy

Actor Sameera Reddy’s recent Bollywood outing Tezz may have failed to rev up much moolah at the BO, but Sam’s biker babe act did find many takers. And now if buzz is to be believed, then the actor has not given up her love for the mean machines, that now extends beyond her onscreen love for them.

Apparently, Sameera has been planning to take off on a biking trip to Goa with a few of her close friends. “Yes that’s something that’s been on my mind for long,” says Sameera, who has been busy with her films. While there’s a certain kick in riding a heavy bike, the actor reveals that what’s as much fun is the expression on the face of co-motorists on seeing a girl riding it. “I can’t ever forget the expressions of the cabbies when they spotted me riding a bike in the city,” she adds.

The actor, who’s been shuttling between her films down South and in Bollywood says that it doesn’t matter which industry it is.

“As long as I am doing good work, how does it matter what language I speak in,” she quips. Ask her about the buzz of being one of the highest paid actresses in the South, but not being in the top league here and Sameera dismisses it saying these things don’t count. “I don’t gloat about being the highest paid actress in the South, so why should I complain if I am not the same here? I am not greedy when it comes to fame and remuneration, but when it comes to roles, I am very greedy!” laughs Sameera. On a serious note she adds, “I am hungry for roles that let me push the envelope. Though I don’t want to compare, the fact is that the films down South are more content driven than many Bolly films and I hope to be a part of good cinema, whether mainstream or not,” adds the actor.
