Actor Aarya Babbar has just launched the first look of his graphic novel Pushpak Viman, a mythological comic book series and is super-excited about this recent development.

Letting us in on a few details he says, “Thanks to my parents I am quite cued in to mythology. I have watched and re-watched B R Chopra’s Mahabharat and Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan and till date I am totally intrigued by mythological tales. This idea struck me a few years back when I thought of connecting mythology to our modern times. My novel is about five youngsters who, on an archeological expedition find the pushpak vimaan and the story that follows.”

The actor says that it has been a dream come true for him to launch his own comic line. “I don’t usually write about mundane, everyday things — short stories are more my kind of thing. I have a huge collection of my write-up’s and if my comic series gets the nod from the audience I will think of compiling them and then may be publish them too,” reveals the actor.

Arya who is also actively involved with his theatre company Ekjute will be seen in a new play by the end of this year. “The play opens in December and we are currently rehearsing for it.”

The actor who was seen in films like Jail and Guru is also looking forward to his two big releases, Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan where he plays a village inspector and Anees Bazmee’s Ready where he sports tow completely distinct looks.
