Hubby calls the shots for Manasi

Actor Manasi  Salvi  who has played Maanasvi  in Saarthi and Khushi in Koi Apna Sa  will soon be seen as the rebel-lawyer in Sahara One’s Sati -Satya ki Shakti. Written by Kamlesh Pandey (of Rang De Basanti fame), the serial is directed by Manasi’s husband Hemant Prabhu.

The show is not about the practice of sati clarifies Manasi, “Sati is the name of the character I play. She is always out to unearth the hidden truth. Sati literally means a virtuous woman who is capable of sacrifice.”

Manasi continues, “It’s a challenging role as the character goes through atrocities which make her strong enough to fight injustice.”

The actor, who has lost weight for this role has also acted in regional films. Her recent Marathi film Sari Var Sari, where she played a doctor won Manasi much appreciation.
