Hrithik Roshan is not missing the match

At a time when most producers and film-makers have cancelled their shooting schedules due to the World Cup matches, actor Hrithik Roshan has decided to swing against the tide. According to Roshan, canceling the shooting schedule will mean a loss to the producer and he is not willing to do that.

“Hrithik has back-to-back dates alloted to producers and any re-allocation of dates will mean that it will eat into his personal time or the dates that he had saved for himself to go on a holiday with his children,” says a source close to the star.

The producers had a meeting with Roshan recently and they apologised to him for scheduling a shoot on the day of the much awaited India-Pakistan match.

They even asked him if he would like to reschedule the shoot. The producer was ready to reschedule the dates even if it meant a loss for him.

“But Hrithik stuck to his guns and said that it would be too impractical to cancel a shoot simply because there’s a match to catch on TV and that too at the cost of the producers money. Hrithik  figured out another way instead,” the source adds.

Apparently, a few extra TV sets have been ordered to let the production crew watch the match and its highlights (which might be recorded during telecast) to be shown to the crew in between their shots.

“Hrithik has a TV set in his vanity van too so he’ll be able to catch the match between the shots though he would still prefer being glued to the set all day long today. Also, he had sat down with the planners and had planned the schedule early so that the shooting ends much before the match is over completely. That would mean everybody will be able to catch the final moments of the match without a hassle. Everybody including the producer is very happy with the plan. It’s gain without pain — nobody will miss the match and yet the job will be done,” the source ends.

Roshan also confirmed that he will be shooting today.
