Hrithik Roshan injures knee again, won't performing at cricket awards

Just when things were looking absolutely perfect for Hrithik Roshan’s injured knee, DNA has learnt that the actor has hurt himself again and aggravated his injury that had plagued him for over a year before he went to Mexico to get himself healed. We also learn that the actor, who was supposed to perform at a cricket awards ceremony, will now give it a miss.

A source close to the actor reveals, “The media has been rife with speculations that Hrithik is performing at the awards and the closing ceremony plus at IIFA night too. Looks like all are in for a disappointment since his doctor has ordered him ‘no dance, no running and no stress of any kind whatsoever on his knee’. While the knee was recuperating well, the dance sequence shot for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Guzaarish has taken its toll again on the knee and as a result he regrettably will not be able to participate.”

Hrithik’s agency confirmed to us saying, “Hrithik was excited to participate and had given his consent. He even went to Singapore three days ago to consult his doctor and get his final reports. Unfortunately the doctor has ruled him out for atleast a month to month-and-a-half for now if it has to recuperate. While he is disappointed at the news; we can’t risk his health in the long run.”
Meanwhile, Hrithik has been reporting to work and has shot for a co-branded television commercial for Kites yesterday. However, the creatives had to be changed to delete the treadmill and dance sequence from the same due to his current injury.
