Star Trek star William Shatner, who asked for stocks instead of cash when he became pitchman for the Internet travel company Priceline.com in 1997, has made a startling $600 million - thanks to his early decision.
According to The Toronto Sun, Priceline's shares are currently trading close to $300 apiece. And although the company won't disclose how many shares Shatner receives, it's reported to be plenty.
A decade ago during the dot.com bust, the stock was selling for less than 2-dollar a share, reports The New York Post. It was around the same time Shatner got into the commercials.
