Hooded tees and jeans for Emraan Hashmi

Actor Emraan Hashmi has been asked by filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj to sport a stylised look in his film Ek Thi Daayan, which has him playing a magician. 

The actor who has been tagged a serial-kisser and plays a porn filmmaker in Shanghai will have a kind of a makeover in Ek Thi Daayan where the brief given to him is that he should look trendy with hooded T-Shirts and jeans.

Says a source, “The film is a psychological supernatural thriller but Emraan who plays a magician has been told to have a  young and trendy look unlike how magicians are usually presented. 25 per cent of the film has already been shot and now they are waiting for Emraan to finish with his promotions of Jannat 2 and Shanghai after which he is expected to start shooting. The film is being shot at Mumbai’s Filmcity.” 

Apparently,  director Kannan Iyer was keen to shoot in Kolkata earlier but then settled for Mumbai as it would be better to co-ordinate with Bhardwaj.  Incidentally, the filmmaker and Emraan were always keen to work with each other, in fact the latter was to be a part of Bhardwaj’s 7 Khoon Maaf but that didn’t materialise due to date issues.
