Gold and diamond jewellery package left at Bebo’s door

Kareena Kapoor was left stumped on Monday when her domestic help found a small parcel outside her apartment door at 19th road in Khar. The parcel, which was brought inside by the security, contained a diamond and gold set worth around Rs2 lakh. It also had a solitaire diamond ring worth Rs3 lakh.

“The security guard called in on Monday morning to say that a courier boy had come in with a small parcel for Kareena. Her staff asked the security person to collect it. However, when they opened it they figured out it was no ordinary parcel,” says a source. They immediately called up Kareena who is holidaying in England. She asked them to hand over the whole booty to the police. However, her staff decided to hold on to the parcel till she comes back to Mumbai.

Though Kareena was unavailable for comment, her spokesperson confirmed the news. “The parcel also contained a small note. It said that the sender was a fan of Kareena and he had bought this solitaire and diamond set for her from Dubai. He wanted her to wear them in one of her movies,” said the spokesperson.

However, when we probed a little further we found out that there was one more twist to the tale. Kareena was recently robbed of jewellery worth Rs3 lakh from the same apartment. The Mumbai police arrested three people in this connection and charged them with robbery. All three were part of the 10-member housekeeping team at her residence. The accused are out on bail now. The source adds, “We are figuring out whether somebody is trying make up for the loss and damage caused to her earlier.”
