'Gay' Chris Martin says Gwyneth Paltrow is his 'beard'

Chris Martin has joked that he is secretly gay and uses his wife Gwyneth Paltrow as his “beard”.

The Coldplay front-man admitted he does not like to discuss his relationship with the Oscar-winning actress, but joked that she is only married to him to help him hide his sexuality.

“She’s been a great beard for me now, for 10 years,” Contactmusic quoted him as telling Ellen.

Chris had admitted recently that he felt like he had won the lottery when he got Paltrow as his wife.

“It’s a big leap? What, from being a loser to going out with an Oscar winner? It’s a giant leap. Let’s face it, it’s like winning the lottery,” he said.
