From fitness to films

 

Anchor Deepa Bakshi has been making waves on the global  scene with her international show ‘Yoga for U’ (Zee). The health show is telecast in various countries including the UK, US and Japan. She says, “It’s great fun performing various yoga asanas and the pranayam breathing techniques and sharing health tips with viewers.”

 

Deepa who was crowned ‘Miss Bollywood’ by Sahara One’s  nation-wide talent-hunt last year,  had made her film debut with a cameo in the Arshad Warsi starrer  ‘Kuchh Meetha Ho Jaaye’.

 

She has also completed her second film ‘Iqraar - By Chance’ directed by K Ravi Shankar. Deepa discloses, “‘Ikraar’ is a romantic comedy shot against the backdrop of London. It revolves around four characters. I am paired opposite Aslam Khan (‘Nayee Padosan’) who plays a waiter besotted with me.”
