Freida Pinto's fashion scare

Stylists swung into action in the women’s restroom no less, to successfully prevent a fashion disaster by the lone Indian star at the Golden Globes

Freida Pinto's fashion scare

Actor Freida Pinto had a fashion scare at the 12th Golden Globes ceremony that was held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles yesterday (our time).

Though you wouldn’t have seen that on Vh1 (which telecast it live), Pinto has her stylists to thank, who immediately came to her rescue just before she went into the international ballroom — the main venue of the awards.

“Freida gave us a call through an attendant saying that she needs immediate help. We had already posted a band of make-up artistes and stylists to help all talents who would need emergency help. Freida made the call around 4.12 pm,” confirmed one of the organising members who was acting as a facilitator.

Though Freida’s problem wasn’t too grave, it needed quick fixing. According to the facility manager, the red threads from the red carpet had clung on to the bottom hemline of her dress, which she discovered in the rest-room. The stylists who are trained in ‘disaster management’ like this, immediately swung into action. Their tool was simple: a white cellotape.

“The cellotape was quickly used to scrape off the threads that were clinging to the hemline of her dress. It was just a clean swipe of the scotch tape that did the trick,” the facilitator added.  Within minutes, Freida who appeared a little scared at the emergency, as After Hrs spotted her, emerged with a smile pasted on her face from the restroom. The actor was of course unaware of any media presence inside the hotel as they were stopped right at the red carpet.

However, Pinto showed enough grace and she mingled with the Hollywood crowd quite confidently after a good run at the red carpet.
