Freida Pinto offered a Rs15 crore a year deal?

Actress Freida Pinto has reportedly been approached by an international high-end fashion apparel brand with a two-year deal worth $3.5 million every year.

With a total kitty of Rs34 crores (approx), this apparently gives Freida an advantage over actor Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan as the highest paid Indian woman celebrity. The latter was said to be the highest paid Indian woman celebrity abroad, with an estimated a million dollar kitty. Sources close to Freida said that such a deal is still in the negotiation stage.

 “It’s a policy never to comment on the brand led deals, but we have witnessed Freida’s growth in a short span,” said Freida’s business manager Anirban Das Blah.

Freida, say sources, has already agreed to the deal. “She is well aware that it makes her the highest paid woman actor in India, It is a two-year contract that they have given her with a kitty of Rs15 crore every year for two years,”say sources.

According to reported figures, the highest paid single endorsement deal (in India) till January this year was Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s deal with Vijay Mallya’s company at Rs26 crore. Sources say that Aamir Khan and Sachin Tendulkar have raced past that amount right now. 

Among the women in India, Katrina Kaif is reportedly the highest paid brand ambassador in India, followed by Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor.
