Farhan Akhtar upset, wife Adhuna in spotlight

Film-maker Farhan Akhtar is very upset and isn’t making any bones about it. In a statement he issued to deny reports of his ‘friendship’ with an assistant director on his sets, Farhan indicated that the speculation has caused pain to his family.

A married man, and father of two little girls, Farhan said that he was upset at the lack of sensitivity “to the effect” such allegations can have “on a person’s life”. And while his wife, hair stylist Adhuna Akhtar too never commented on his alleged link ups in the past, this time around she is being extra guarded. A source said, “Adhuna is in the middle of launching her new salon in Bandra. So the timing of the gossip is such that she is in the public eye and cannot escape questions regarding her personal life. But she has decided not to comment on the issue, come what may. In fact, she is being inundated with advice from friends and well-wishers on how to tackle the situation and Adhuna herself has decided to immerse herself in work. According to her, it’s the best medicine. She is very focused and is giving her 100 per cent to the salon for now,” said the source, adding that Adhuna is her jolly and witty self even now, provided she is in her salon and has tones of work to keep  herself busy with.

When asked to comment, as expected, Adhuna maintained a no comments stand insisting to speak on her work and hair trends instead.
