The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) awards were handed out in London on Sunday.
Britain's top film accolades come two weeks before the Oscars and will be watched for clues as to the outcome of the US Academy Awards. Its record as a barometer of success in Los Angeles, however, has been patchy over the last decade.
