Harry Potter star Emma Watson has landed a lead role in a new film adaptation of Beauty and the Beast.
The new version of the traditional fairy tale is to be made by Lord of the Rings director Guillermo del Toro, reports Contactmusic.
Though the film’s producer, Denise Di Novi, has revealed details about the casting, but little else is known about the film yet.
The movie is likely to be Watson’s first lead role after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, the last film in the series.
